Liverpool looking to rope in Reina

The £6 million acquisition of José Manuel Reina, (the Villa Real goal keeper), by Liverpool is expected to be confirmed very soon. At the same time, the news is that Jerzy Dudek has rejected a move away from Merseyside.
The 32-year-old turned down the offer from the Turkish club, believed to be Fenerbahçe, as he intends to stay at Liverpool for the final two years of his contract. But whether this changes the mind of the determined Liverpool manager who planned to sell off the goalkeeper in order to raise necessary funds is yet to be seen.
Kirkland, frustrated by injuries in his efforts to establish himself at Anfield, will join West Bromwich on a season-long loan, as Reina, 22, is expected to be the first-choice goalkeeper next season.
With only half of the old squad being recalled for the pre-season training, it is definite that new faces will get a chance before the Champions League first qualifying round first leg against Total Network Solutions at Anfield on July 13.
It is now confirmed that the second leg will be played at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham.
