After much speculation it has finally been confirmed that Juventus have attempted to sign Patrick Vieira. The chairman at highbury stated that the club is in serious consideration as to whether they should sell the 29yr old captain whose contract is due to expire in 2007. In the end it is all thought to come down to what the offer on the table is and what the player would wish to do.
Everyone who knows the player knows how difficult it would be to replace Patrick and therefore they have not yet decided what they wish to do. The rumours are that Juventus have bid £5m and further rumours insist that Juve is only being offered 1 year extension on the deal and that other clubs may be recounting this deal with £15m and player swaps.
So far, however, these are all just rumours and all talks have been denied by the club management.
