There has a been a rise by a little more than a third in the price of houses in North Lanarkshire, especially in the regions of Coatbridge and West Dunbartonshire. Scottish locations have the highest number of areas with growing house prices with nine out of twenty.

The ratio between the house prices in South England and the house prices in Scotland was 2.1:1 in ’04. Now that has come down 2:1. A bank said that nine of the towns on the top twenty list were in Scotland this year. The average rate of house price growth is anticipated to go beyond the overall rate now in the United Kingdom.
