Rates are reduced by Portman on Mortgages

The Portman Building Society has slashed down its interest rates. They’ve done this on a three and a five year fixed rate mortgage. Three year mortgage rates and two of the company’s largest products were brought down to 4.39 per cent. From a rate of 4.5 per cent, the five-year offer was brought down to 4.45 per cent.
But, there are offers, which suggest more. They boast 95 per cent LTV and are not demanding a higher lending charge up to 90 percent. They are available as late as the month of September.
Helen Shaw, who is the communications manager of Portman’s group, is of the opinion that the offer would keep the company ahead in the competition. She further said that they would continue to be the cheapest buy in the fixed rates for three and five years. She further said that she is confident that the new rates, which are offered, are the best deal in the market.
