Wales the New Tourist Destination

According to new reports, global warming will potentially create hotter climates in years to come. There will be warmer and longer heat waves, shorter winters, longer droughts and a decrease in rainfall in Europe, (the global warming effect affects different parts of the world). If this assumption is accurate, this is set to have a huge impact on the current holiday culture in Europe which will impact the holiday property market at large.
Said another way, this could make the United Kingdom a new focus for holiday homes. People look abroad for holiday homes for the simple fact that many foreign climates are hotter, which offers the possibility to set up a second home in the sun at comparably low costs.
If the reports about environmental forecast released following the G8 summit are to be believed then Welsh beaches might become warm enough to compete against Italy and Spain. Existing hot countries, environmental scientists have warned, will become uninhabitable because of the heat.
This climate change will be an influencing factor on the housing market as many British may actually buy property to escape the heat. Wales, with its close proximity to London and other major cities could become a favoured holiday destination. The Welsh tourist board has even indicted that it will be looking at ways the small country can deal with a new era of increasing numbers of holiday makers.
