In order to cut red tape on business, the government of Britain is introducing legislation. The British Government says that it will amount to 10 billion pounds a year to the British economy. A framework will be provided by the Better Regulation Bill to implement deregulation programmes that every department of the government has been ordered to draw up by the end of this year.
Jim Murphy, the Cabinet Office Minister said to the domestic radio of the BBC that Britain’s first government targets for decreasing the administrative burdens on business accompanied the Bill. Jim Murphy said that they’re asking government department to provide proposals on simplification by this year. He further said that today’s new legislation ensures that people have a framework for implementing it in the Parliament.
Jim Murphy acknowledged that business would be skeptical about government bringing down red tape. He said that unless and until they deliver targeted and proportionate regime of regulation where there’s a culture change, then the business won’t believe them. Murphy commented that the British Government has told them to measure the administrative burden facing the UK business.
