The Public Accounts Committee has said that with the way the inheritance tax forms stand at the moment they are just a hassle and are placing an huge hassles on relatives during an important time of grief.
With its huge influence in parliament, the committee may finally have been heard, as they suggested a web site to give info and advice on filling in these forms, . The website will be set up by early next year.
The report released by the revenue to counteract this has justified the harsh treatment that occurred on some of the people who were fined for their failure to declare assets last year. They have advised that the IR should lay a heavy hand on those people who cheat the government by giving any false information on inheritance tax forms.
