The Eurotunnel company which is famous for its massive debts has finally reported its 2% rise which came during the first half of 2005 and was valued at £268m.
There are high hopes from management within Eurotunnel, who hope that they can get their debtors to ignore 2/3 of its debts which amount to £6bn at present. It is their popular shuttle service that accounts for this rise which showed a 6% increase to £146m, from £138m last year.
Project do you Dare
Eurotunnel's re-elected chairman Jacques Gounon said the company was excelling with its new Project Dare, which brings services more in line with demand, as should be. But we believe that this mainly comes down to its good luck on routes; with the berthing problems at Calais many of the drivers were prevented from taking the unreliable ferries.
The real experts agree with us showing that they attribute the growth mainly to the dissipation of problems at port Calais and less toward the idea that they have changed their services or even upgraded them.
