My Propecia has arrived but how do I know if it is real?
USAmedix would like to reassure you that we only dispense genuine Propecia,
but for people who buy their Propecia elsewhere online this has been a common
question. The problem started with the rise in the amounts of generic or fake
Propecia that is being sold as genuine Propecia to online customers.
In some cases you may even be paying the price of genuine Propecia only to
find out afterwards when the goods arrive that you have actually been sold
fake Propecia. These generic versions of Propecia can be potentially harmful
to you.
Even though there is no concise guide of what to look for on websites selling
Propecia to try to ensure that you are ordering genuine Propecia, we at USAmedix
have put together some guidelines that will help you check the authenticity
of the medication that you receive.
Where is the dispensing pharmacy based?
If you have already received your medication, this
may be too late; but when buying your medications ensure that the pharmacy
is based in the UK or Ireland. Uk Medix have learnt that the restrictions
are tighter here than in Europe / the rest of the world and as an added bonus,
this will also ensure that there are no customs / duty to pay.
Check how the Propecia arrived?
Check what sort of packaging your Propecia arrived in. If it arrived in
a paper or plastic bag, an unmarked pill bottle or any other packaging that
does not look like either of the two pictures below then it will almost certainly
be generic and therefore unregulated Propecia.
If your Propecia arrived in packaging that is like the images below then
you are heading down the right track and the Propecia that you have received
could well be genuine. But this still has not been confirmed as USAmedix have
found that some sites selling fake Propecia will even go as far as copying
the genuine packaging.
On the Propecia packaging are there any labels?
As Propecia is a prescription medication your order should be labeled up
from the dispensing pharmacy with your details on it. It should have your
details on the labels and most importantly the pharmacy. This is so that you
have a point of contact if you need to verify the authenticity of the Propecia.
What does genuine Propecia medication look like?
If you look at the image below, this is what genuine Propecia pills should
look like. If the medication that you have does not look like the image below,
USAmedix would advise you to be very cautious as they are very unlikely to
be the genuine Merck Propecia.
